2013 UK Tour Reviews
Musical Theatre Review
'It was actually refreshing to realise it didn’t involve sitting through a collection of all the old, familiar musical standards – yet again – and the director John Garfield-Roberts deserved applause for taking that creative decision...Clearly, the future of British musical theatre is in safe, talented hands.'

'It is rare to hear such a great range of musical theatre styles and composers performed with such a solid band and such high production values. Momentous Musicals will be a real treat for musical theatre lovers far from the West End as it travels around Britain; it has all of the big ones (Les Mis, Phantom, Miss Saigon, Wicked) that fans will be waiting to hear, and two incredibly popular performers in Gates and Owen-Jones. It’s not edgy, but it is classy and heartwarming – a really excellent show.'
Herald Express - Torquay
'The show is a jolly romp through some of the most famous musicals of all time. The programme also included some lesser known numbers, which was a bit of risk, but the stellar cast pulled it off...If you missed this one night show you missed out.'
West End Frame
"Momentous Musicals provides a glorious evening of entertainment for any lover of musical theatre."
Bargain Theatre
'We are treated to a wide spectrum of numbers from a huge variety of shows, from Pippin and Wicked, through to a Disney Medley and even a number from the NBC hit TV series Smash. By the time the interval arrives, the entire audience are bopping along in their seats and don’t want it to stop...Momentous Musicals is a genuinely enjoyable night out. You won’t leave without having laughed, cried and danced (or at least tapped your feet) along with the music delivered by this small but select group of talented performers.'
One Stop Arts
'Garfield-Roberts, Dyer, the band and the performers succeed in delivering a slickly produced, well arranged and solidly enjoyable evening here, one designed to satisfy the latent (or not so latent) musical theatre nerd in us all...a family-friendly celebration of musical theatre it's an enjoyable experience, an evening that does, very professionally, exactly what it says on the tin.'
The Arts Shelf
'With a wide array of musical material, comprising both original and new arrangements of classic show tunes, Momentous Musical proves a rewarding and highly entertaining production, and is undoubtedly one of the strongest musical compilation shows of recent times.'
Pocket Size Theatre Boy

'A full house at Wimbledon lent an air of great expectation to this inaugural show of musical theatre classics from innovative producers, Speckulation Entertainment. With an eye to ticket sales as well as production values...The creative team assembled under the talented Garfield-Roberts were faultless... The show deserves to tour, see it if you get an opportunity.'
Broadway World
'Momentous Musicals brought together some of musical theatre's brightest young stars for a one-off concert belting out 23 songs from shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Miss Saigon. There were plenty of old favourites there, but not all choices were obvious, lending a pleasing "insiders'" feel to the evening...the audience were spellbound, greeting each performance with waves of applause...the full house enjoyed every second of the show and would certainly come back for more. This was a one-off concert at New Wimbledon Theatre, but, after such support from the public, one can expect many more shows like this in the future.'
